Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Willis Hanke (Baxter, Minnesota), born in Whitehall, Wisconsin, who passed away at the age of 95, on May 18, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Hanke (Flunker) and Rev. Arthur; his siblings, Thekla Wicke, Gilbert, Marvin and Paul; his son Daniel; and his grandson Samuel Gensmer.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Engen (Gerri); his sister Joyce Schultz; his children, Lynda Krueger (Charles), Marlys Reid (Pieter), Eileen Olson (Dennis), James, Thomas, John (Joyce), Timothy, Sharon Gensmer (Gavin) and Karen Kroll (Daniel); and his daughter-in-law Sheryl Hanke. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Christ Lutheran Church Pipe Organ Fund.
