He was predeceased by: his parents, Erick Tiegen and Magdalena Tiegen (Guthmueller); his wife Virginia Burchfield; his sons, Stewart and Elliot "Lars" Tiegen; and his siblings, Evelyn, Lloyd, LuWanna and Donna.
He is survived by: his children, Anita Embree of Baxter, Dinah Sundberg (Glen) of Baxter, Louisa Tiegen of Pequot Lakes and Eric Tiegen (Laura) of Houma, LA; his grandchildren, Lisa, Jonathan, Spencer, James and Jesse; and his stepgrandchildren, Stephan, Brandi and Nikki. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.
