He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul and Eleanor; his wife Marilyn Kummer; his children, Jenna Spaulding, Sarah Patnode (Rob Merrell), Amy Wangerin (Robert) and Rudy Patnode (Rachel); his siblings, Dianne Seyler, Michael Patnode and Charles Patnode; his grandchildren, Clain, Grady, Leo, Atlas and Max; and his sister Mary Patnode.
