He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Spangler and Cleo Spangler; his son Brad; his son-in-law Norman Jones; his grandson Trevor Spangler; and his brother Jim Spangler.
He is survived by: his close friend Hope Johnston; his children, Mark, Greg and Kimberly Jones; his former wife Marylou Ruff; his grandsons, Dylan Jones, Jonathan and Tanner Spangler; and his sister Mattie Kurilla (Gary).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The Shriners Club.
