He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervil Mathison and Florence Mathison; and his brother Denny. He is survived by: his wife Janice Mathison (Goedderz); his children, Monica Andrew (Tim) of Baxter, Tamara Pearce (Duane) of Cedar Falls, IA and Daniel of Baxter; and his grandchildren, Thomas Andrew (Krissy), Alissa Roberts (Jimmy), Tasha Miller (James), Emily Russell (Scotty), Tara Borg (Brian) and Maxwell Mathison. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
