He was predeceased by: his mother Melinda Hellekson (Lum). He is survived by: his father Spencer Hellekson; his former wife Heidi Fettig; his wife Melanie Sorenson; his children, Hannah of Los Angeles, CA and Ethan (Heyli Howard) of St. Paul; his siblings, Sarah of Jamestown, ND, Eric (Jennifer) of Detroit Lakes and Ben (Crystal); his father-in-law Wayne Sorenson (Diane) of Park Rapids; his sister-in-law Nicole Simpson (Ray) of Park Rapids; and his nieces and nephews, Lily Gustafson, Dane Hellekson, Audrey Hellekson, Blake Simpson and Kendra Simpson.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
