He was predeceased by: his children-in-law, Laura Girard and David Vander Schaaf; his granddaughter Cynthia Rhodes; and his sisters, Donna Zinns and Darlene Lampman.
He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Kathleen Vander Schaaf, Kevin Girard (Pat) and Jolene Knowles (Randy); his grandchildren, Christine Gonzalez (Jose), Eric Rhodes, Kim Matroni, Duane Girard (Sara), Keith Girard (Savannah), Karen Girard (Brandon) and Kelly Johnson (Joe); and his sisters, Diana Girard and Dulia Potocnik (Arlin). He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
