He was predeceased by: his parents, Iver Hanson and Sylvia Hanson; his brother Roger; and his brothers-in-law, John Chance and David Chance.
He is survived by: his wife Becky; his children, Elizabeth Johnston (Robert), Carl, Nels (Courtney) and Jay (Emily); his grandchildren, Karalee Parsons, Ryan Johnston, Isabella, Holt Hanson, Iver, Talia, Finn and Signe Hanson; his siblings, Jan (Monica), Fred (Rosemary), James (Laurie), Craig (Kathy) and Bernice Lapash (Dave); and his siblings-in-law, Frank Chance, Greg Chance, Debbie Chance and Lynn Chance. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
