He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottar Bodahl and Velda Bodahl (Gloria Bodahl); his brothers, Robert Bodahl, Gerold Bodahl and Ervan "Danny" Bodahl; his grandson Jason LaValla; and his daughter-in-law Evonne Bodahl.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sharon Goldsmith and Lawrence Bodahl (Jane); his children, Scott, Barry Bodahl, John, Joseph Borg, Jeri Beckel (Vic), Susan LaValla (Mark) and Sally Borg; his grandchildren, Sunshine Hanevik (Josh), Jody Johnson (Weston), Bonnie Harness (Andy), Melanie McClendon, Cara Brekke (Nick), Anna Johnson (Jeremy), Aimee Borg, Dewey Beckel (Ashley) and Jack Beckel (Katie); and his friend Carol Carol. He is also survived by great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
