He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Nelson and Evelyn Nelson (Haroldson); his son Troy Nelson; his siblings, Kenwood and Kay; and his parents-in-law, Milton "Bud" and Maxine Frisbie.
He is survived by: his wife Marnie; his children, Rob (Lucinda) and Tanya (Kurt); his grandchildren, Brady Nelson (Tracy), Zakary Nelson Justice and Addison Troy Maethner; and his brothers, Gary (Linda), Carroll Nelson (Joyce) and Dwight Walvatne (Wendy).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Ashby Legacy Fund.
