He was predeceased by: his mother Myrtle Ellingson (Jacobson); his wife Phyllis Lundell of Ansgar's Lutheran Church; his son Bobby; his father Leonard Ellingson; and his siblings, Lenora Rapp, Agnes Berger, Joanne Wagnon, Katherine Peterson, Melvin Ellingson, Donald Ellingson, Arlen Ellingson and Ruth Palma Ellingson.
He is survived by: his son James Ellingson (Amy) of Willmar; his grandchildren, Allie Kubes (Tony), Emily Fremling (Nate) and Erica Kerstetter (Tom); his son Scott Ellingson (Chutima) of Battle Lake; his grandchildren, Dane Ellingson (Tasha) and Chase Ellingson (Sara); his daughter Lisa Mekalson (Ron) of Bettendorf, IA; his granddaughters, Heidi Fishman (Cody) and Jill Weede (Oryn); his great grandchildren, Chloe Kubes and Rowan Weede; and his brother Leonard Ellingson (Kris). He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
