He was predeceased by: his parents, Elof Hodnefield and Mabel Hodnefield (Rasmussen); his son Brad; and his brother Eldon. He is survived by: his wife Juanita Schmidgall; his son Brian (Karen); his granddaughter Megan of Battle Lake; and his brother Melvin of Vergas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
