He was predeceased by: his father Jerome Swenson; his grandparents, Art, Alice Swenson, Virgil Newborg Sr. and Frances T. Andersen; and his stepgrandfather Marvin Andersen.
He is survived by: his mother Vonette Swenson (Newborg); his wife Stephanie Swenson; his children, Amanda Samuelson (Luke), Joe Swenson (Brianna) and Susan Wellendorf (Trevor); his grandchildren, Bentley, Maci, Lexie Samuelson, Jack Swenson and Wynn Schneeberger; his brothers, Jerry Swenson Jr., Jesse Swenson (Julie) and Jay Swenson; his stepgrandmother Ellen Andersen; and his friend Team Jamie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
