He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Schmidt and Rita Schmidt (Prazak). He is survived by: his children, Sue Seidel, Don Schmidt (Jane), Dave Schmidt (Amanda), Shelly Thoennes (Nick) and Stacy Richards (Elliot). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
