He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ira Nelson (Mother Arlene Nelson) and Arlene Nelson; his siblings, Roger Nelson (Shirley), Kay Olstad, Harvey Nelson (Mary) and Clayton Nelson (Brenda); his children, Elizabeth Evans (Bob), Christine Knipe (Carl), Cathleen Adams (Aaron Kringler), Vernon Nelson Jr. (Cintia Armstrong), Mindy Nickell (Dane) and MeLissa Nelson-Power (Bob); his brother-in-law Gary Olstad; and his grandson Cody Wood. He was also cherished by 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
