It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeanette Irene Kava of Barnesville, Minnesota, who passed away on January 22, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Dickelman and Edna Jane "Jennie" Dickelman (Cook); her husband John Lawrence Kava; her children, Donald and Darlene; her great grandchildren, Madison and Sydney Cox; and her siblings, Darryl Dickelman and Virginia Hansen.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Kava (Connie) of Detroit Lakes, Andrew Kava (Ruth) of Barnesville, Patrick Kava (Brenda) of Fergus Falls, Shirley Umberger (Rick) of Dent, Jeffrey Kava (Kay) of Scottsbluff, NE, John Kava (Wendy) of Prescott, AZ, Gregory Kava (Nermeen) of Fairfax, VA and Mary Klovstad (Peter) of Pelican Rapids; and her siblings, Donald Dickelman (Arlene), Muriel Stenback (Marcus) of Sacramento, CA, Carol Thompson and Ardis Rosenfeldt. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Minnesota Girls State.
