It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katie Lee Scharfe of Balaton, Minnesota, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 41, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Neal Scharfe (Robin) and Lesa Scharfe (Swan); her husband Justin Schmidt; her sister Emily Lukso (Justin); her nieces and nephews, Olivia, Brady and Kinlee; her grandmother Judy Swan; her pets, Polly and Rowdy; her uncle Mike Swan; her aunts, Susan Swan and Amy Seaton; and her grandmother Adeline. She was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 330 3rd St, Balaton, MN 56115. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Balaton Community Center (134 3rd St, Balaton, MN 56115).
