She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry James and Laura Gladys Byrd (Marshand); her sisters, Josie, Joan, Daisy and Cece; and her grandson Russel.

She is survived by: her son Duane; her granddaughter Amber Berrard; and her nephews, Myron and Alvin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loved relatives.
