He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Rasmussen and Sadie Rasmussen; his brothers, Otto and Richard; and his stepson Jeff Kvam (Veronica).
He is survived by: his former wife Marilyn Lewis; his wife Betty; his children, Jon (Deborah) of Bloomington, Pamela (James) of Minnetonka, Paul (Cynthia) of Bagley and Susan (Karl) of Blackduck; his stepson Chris Kvam (Amy); his grandchildren, Harmony (Stephen), Amanda (Says), Derek, Katrina, Justen (Michelle), Laura (Jared), Vanessa, Lauryn and Julia; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Ian, Eli and Saoirse.
In lieu of flowers, Ed's family requests that memorials be directed to the Faith Lutheran Church organ fund, the Bagley Senior Citizens Center, or the Clearwater County Historical Society.
