It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthony Schmitz (Bagley, Minnesota), born in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, who passed away on January 29, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schmitz and Anna Schmitz (Pahlen); and his siblings, Joseph, Vincent, Sylvester, Leonard, Louie, John, David, Elizabeth, Clarice, Margaret and Marilyn.
He is survived by: his former wife Marlene Tiedeman; his wife Crystal Wallingford (Anderson); his children, Rick Schmitz (Sandie), Shawn Brandvold (Quintin), Shane Schmitz (Alysia) and Craig Schmitz (Melanie); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Tori, Jeremy, Christopher, Devin, Shay, Cody, Jacob, Isabelle, Abigail, Marissa, Ava and Keaton; his great grandchildren, Austin, Paisley, Kyler, Odessa, Hailee, Emma and Lexi; his sister Lucille Desotell; and his stepchildren, Steve Wallingford, Lynn Peal, Jack Wallingford and Jill Olson.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be donated to the Bagley Youth Hockey Association PO Box 54 Bagley, MN in honor of Tony.
