It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joel W. Schrupp of Backus, Minnesota, born in Glencoe, Minnesota, who passed away on December 1, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Joan "Joaner" Schrupp; and his sister Amy Schrupp. He is survived by: his parents, Orville Schrupp and Doris Schrupp (Huepenbecker); his brothers, John (Helen Schrupp) and Jay (Kathy Schrupp); his stepchildren, Joshua Schroeder (Jamie), Life Gries (Aaron Sr.) and Isaiah Schroeder (Melanie); his grandchildren, Eric-Lloyd Schroeder, Takota Schroeder, Dakota Rainwater, Aiden Rainwater, Alexandra Gries, Hannah Gries, Aaron Gries Jr., Ethan Gries, Alicia Gries, Taylor Schroeder and Ashton Schroeder; and his great grandchildren, Hayden Lamb and Allisiah Lamb. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
