She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Schroeder and Emily Schroeder (Mitten); her husband Marlen Harris; her sister Lonna Schroeder; her mother-in-law Florence Harris; and her siblings-in-law, Kelly Koopman and Kevin Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Mindy Butricks (Trever) of Backus, Cassandra Nelson (Aaron) of Gonvick, MN, David (Ashley) of Backus and Lori Roller (Amos) of Pine River; her grandchildren, Brianna, Shailyn, Kaden Butricks, Talan Zabriskie, Michael Harris, Rosezelya, Mardell Newhouse-Whitaker and Raylynn Harris; her siblings, Richard Schroeder (Deb) of Belle Plaine, MN, Loren Schroeder (Sandy) of Pasco, WA, Marjean Nacke (Mark) of Remsen, IA and Michelle Wurth (Ken) of Remsen, IA; her father-in-law Harlan Harris (Pat); and her siblings-in-law, Micki Fischer (John), Jackie Schnepf (Mike), Diane Wolf (Wayne), Vicki Bohnenkamp (Dave), Randy Harris (Jane), Tom Harris (Joyce), Cyndi Emdia (Don) and Keith Koopman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In 2016, Donita was blessed to receive the gift of life with an organ donation.
