Lawrence Thompson Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 6, 2025, at the age of 78, Lawrence Thompson of Babbitt, Minnesota, born in Ely, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, may Lawrence find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Thompson (Haapala) and William (Thompson); his brother Kenneth Thompson; his sister-in-law Marilyn Thompson; and his granddaughter Amber Lynn Spoke.

He is survived by: his children, Barbara Thompson and Corey Thompson; his grandson Michael Frost; his sister Norma Heikkila; and his pets, Rosie and Pumpkin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at 8310 Joseph St, Babbitt, MN 55706.
