She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Hartfield and Gene Hartfield of Hammond; her husband Harry Haapala of Ely; and her sister Barbara Hartfield Stolz. She is survived by: her siblings, Michael Hartfield and Irene Hartfield; her children, Clayton Haapala (Sandy), Jennifer Merhar (Tom), Lizbeth Holewa (Galen), Alec Haapala (Deanna) and Eric Haapala; and her grandchildren, Corwin, Kathryn Haapala, Joseph, Andrew Merhar, Jedediah, Nathan Holewa, Charlene (Colwell), Michelle and Nicholas Haapala. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
