He was predeceased by: his parents, Sebastian Hartung and Frances Hartung (Young); his wife Adeline Hartung; his grandchildren, Rebecca Kremers and Jason Hartung; his great grandchild Edward Michalek; his siblings, Anthony Hartung (AnnMarie), Frank Hartung (Evangeline), Leo Hartung (Catherine) and Eugenia Hartung; and his siblings-in-law, Andrew Kasper and Eileen Hartung.
He is survived by: his children, Elaine Kremers (Marvin) of Avon, Jeanette (David Hoppert) of Avon, Carole Michalek (Victor) of St. Stephen, David Hartung (Linda) of Opole, Jerome Hartung of Freeport, Sharon Salzer (Arthur) of Freeport, Dennis Hartung (Ann) of Avon, Robert Hartung (Judy) of Freeport, Barbara Kaeter (Rodney) of Rice and Michael Hartung (Nancy) of Opole; and his siblings, Stella Kasper of Albertville and Victor Hartung of St. Cloud. He is also survived by 42 grandchildren and 62 great-grandchildren.
