He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bolinger and Belitta Bolinger (Kramer); his wife Zelma Bolinger; and his grandchildren, Brandon and Lidtke.

He is survived by: his children, William Bolinger (Janice) of Apple Valley, Vickie Lidtke (Dennis) of LeRoy and Tracy Merten of Lyle, Minnesota; and his grandchildren, Chad, Billy, Dustin, Brandi, Stephanie, Trisha, Brittany, Joshua and Haley. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
