We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2025, at the age of 98, Vandlyn Newman in Austin, Minnesota, born in Ponca, Nebraska passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vandlyn Newman to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Blatchford and Grace Blatchford (Curry); her siblings, Clair, John, Zella Norwood and Aryl Sherman (Wendell Newman); and her son Robert Newman.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jennifer Butts (Bill), Hillary Swanson (Daniel), Lydell Tapp (Stacy), Kiley Tapp, Kelley Oldham (Chad), Lindsay Zygmontowicz (John) and Adam Hoover (Karen); and also, Catherine Bates (Jody) of Austin, MN, Holly Newman of Austin, MN and Jeanie Hoover (David) of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dexter United Methodist Church (230 Pleasant St, Dexter, MN 55926). A memorial service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
