He was predeceased by: his parents, Palmer Thompson and Marjorie Thompson (Lysne); and his son Mitchell Thompson. He is survived by: his former wife Diane; his daughter Michelle Johannsen (Greg) of Freeborn; his daughter-in-law Dana Thompson of Rushford; his grandchildren, Davin Thompson (Erin), Zachary Thompson (Alyssa), Tyler Johannsen (Rebecca) and BetsyRose Stulen (Tory); his great grandchildren, Carson, Addison, Cole Thompson, Wyatt Thompson, Clint Stulen, Harper Thompson and Baby Boy Johannsen; and his siblings, Stacia Olson (Perry) and Anita Jensen.
His return to Albert Lea to help care for his mother as her health declined from Alzheimer's was greatly appreciated.
