He was predeceased by: his father Howard Carlson; his wife Cheryl Carlson; his stepfather Don Lewellen; his parents-in-law, Harry and Betty Larson; and his siblings-in-law, Don Larson and Diane Larson.
He is survived by: his children, Martinique Carlson of Austin and Justin Carlson (Amy Rye) of Austin; his mother Betty Carlson-Lewellen (Omvig); his siblings, Michael Carlson, Lorie Hackett (Jack) of Morristown, MN, Patti Lee and Barb Schafer (Stan) of Revillo, SD; and his siblings-in-law, Vern Larson (Sue) of Austin and Carolyn Hagen (Bill) of Austin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
