He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Pettitt and Hazel Pettitt (May); his wife Mercedes Carmen Paniagua; his son Larry Pettitt; and his children-in-law, Mark Savant, Ron Wittfoth and Sally Pettitt.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Pettitt (Alicia), Robert A. Pettitt (Jeanne) of Hudson, WI, Janet Schupp (Eberhard), Greunstadt, Germany, Allison Wittfoth of Rochester, MN and Patricia Savant of Rochester, MN; his daughter-in-law Noelle Pettitt Jensen of Austin, MN; and his sisters, Jean Weitzenkamp of West Concord, MN and June Schmidt of Rockford, IL.. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren.
