He was predeceased by: his parents, Odean Wangen of Austin, MN and R. Marie Wangen-Iverson (Hansen); his sister Deann Poorman of Austin, MN; his aunt Darlene; his uncle Don Hansen of Albert Lea, MN; and his cousin Patricia Hansen of Albert Lea, MN..
He is survived by: his children, Randy Wangen (Kathy) of Goodrich, MI, Brent Wangen of Millsboro, DE, Jorgina Wangen of Crystal, MN and Jared Wangen (Machiko) of Osaka, Japan; his sister Darla Zrucky (Dale) of Austin, MN; his brother-in-law Kenny Rensink of Austin, MN; his grandchildren, Erika Prittie (Jef), Jessica Wangen, Jennifer Koshorek (Andrew), Jessica Rathke, Chelsea Brokaw (Caleb), Brittany Wangen, Branden Wangen, Ellen Wangen, Lauren Wangen and Noah Wangen; his great grandchild Emma Brokaw; his nieces and nephews, Dan Zrucky (Tammy), Darcy Johnson, Jeff Poorman and Angela Poorman; and his cousin Dick Hansen (Marsha). He is also survived by great-nephews, great-nieces, a great-great niece.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made in memory of Robert to the Mower County Humane Society.
