With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Pearl Joy Swanson of Austin, Minnesota, born in Britt, Iowa, who passed away on March 12, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Mattoon and Lola Mattoon (Hepperly); her husband Norman Swanson; her son Kim Swanson; her sister Rita Arnie; and her great grandchild Alexander Jiggs West.
She is survived by: her sons, Randy Swanson (Carol) of Stewartville, Craig Swanson (Diane) of Ashland, Jeff Swanson (Susan) of Hayfield and Mike Swanson (Wendy) of Alexandria, Minnesota; and her daughter-in-law Marion Bergevins (Jean-Luc) of Gilbert, Arizona. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; and 42 great grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie, First Baptist Church in Blooming Prairie, the Wounded Warrior Project, St. Croix Hospice, or The Cedars of Austin.
