He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Johnson (Neste) and Fat; his sister Diane; his brothers-in-law, Larry Arnold and Bruce Pladson; and his stepdaughter Mary Miller (Lane).
He is survived by: his former wife Catherine Ann Lane (Berg); his son Joel Johnson (Teri); his grandsons, Tanner Johnson of Austin, MN and Cameron Johnson of Austin, MN; his sisters, Joan Pladson of Edina, MN and Lois Mayabb of Shakopee, MN; his stepson Robert Lane (Linda Sjogren) of Winthrop, MN; and his friend Judi Mandt of Austin, MN. He is also survived by step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
