He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Jirele and Rita Jirele (Bellrichard); his wife Marjorie Jirele; his siblings, Edward Jirele, Orrie Jirele and Cleo Grebin; his son-in-law Paul Howard; and his grandson Andrew Howard.
He is survived by: his children, Julianne Holst (Michael) of Rochester, MN, Tom Jirele (Laura) of Richboro, PA, Connie Bird (Larry Howe) and Bob Jirele (Mara) of Worthington, MN; his grandchildren, Michelle Cunningham, Evan Howard, Christina Jirele, Lauren Jirele, Emma Sandhurst and Matt Jirele; his great grandchildren, Jayden Jirele, Catherine Cunningham and Paul Cunningham; his close friend Jan Murphy of Austin, MN; and his brother Alan Jirele (Mary). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, Minnesota Conservation Volunteer, or to the Donor's Choice.
