She was predeceased by: her father Wilhemine Goehtz (Laack); her husband Kenneth Thompson; her son-in-law Don Starbuck; and her granddaughter Mindy Thompson. She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Starbuck of Friends Wood, Caralee Spieker (Craig) of Calhan, Colorado, Gary Thompson (Nancy) of Prior Lake and Dennis Thompson of Austin, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Tyler Thompson, Wendy Brune (David), Michael Starbuck (Elizabeth), Ashly Jessup and Alyssa Silva (Victor); and her great grandchildren, Jameson Jessup, Wyatt Jessup, Sophia Silva, Ariella Silva, Gracelyn Silva and Katie Starbuck.
Memorials are preferred to the Mower County Humane Society or Mayo Hospice.
