It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lois Schmidt of Austin, Minnesota, born in Britton, South Dakota, who passed away on January 27, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Alberts and Christina Alberts (Rademacher); her husband Ted Schmidt; her son Larry Schmidt; her sons-in-law, Don Joseph, Gary Majerus and George Leloup; and her siblings, Grace Martin, Anna Olson, Beaulah Bray, Helen Wood, Pearl Torquita, Rose Andersen, Eleanor Anderson and Earnest Alberts.

She is survived by: her former husband Theron Schmidt (Ted); her pet Maggie; her daughters, Diane Joseph, Pam Majerus and Pat Leloup; her daughter-in-law Diane Shaw; and her grandchildren, Danny, Kelly Joseph, David, Melissa Joseph, Katie, Dan Mallory, Andy Majerus, Nicole Briley, Andrew Ortman, Jenna Miller, Ted Regnaud and Bobbie Cummins. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

Memorials may be directed to the Mayo Clinic Hospice Program.
