She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Larson and Ruth Larson (Gunnarson); her husband Inman Hesla; and her brother Wyllis Larson. She is survived by: her children, Todd Hesla (Karen Johnshoy) of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Joseph Hesla (Bonnie Beckel) of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Bret Hesla (Jaimie Bennett) of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Beth Hesla of Waverly, Iowa; her grandchildren, Peter Scholtz (Laura Nelson), Rebecca Scholtz (Chang Lau), Anna Hepsø (Audun), Paul Scholtz (Marie), Samuel Hesla, Rosina Minich (Jack) and Jeremy Kleider; and her great grandchildren, Henrik, Louis, Nils, Loren, Eleanor, Margrete, Renée, Sebastian and Neve. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Some of the family request that guests wear masks since vulnerable people will be present.
The family prefers that memorials be directed to the St. Olaf Church Endowment Fund or to Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD.
