It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lemuel Read Jr. of Austin, Minnesota, who passed away on July 4, 2021, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemuel Read and Hazel Read (Goodwin); his wife Angeline L. Amundson (Angie); his grandsons, Scott Read and Derek Read; his siblings, Henry, Kenneth and Evelyn; and his half-brother Allen Read.
He is survived by: his sons, Jim (Dorothy) of Rochester, MN, Larry (Evie) of Woodbury, MN and David (Vicki) of North St; his grandchildren, Candace Hample (Bob) of Austin, MN, Stacy Wilson (Dennis) of Rochester, MN, Sarah Stay (Matt) of Albert Lea, MN, Jennie Read of Woodbury, MN, Angela Pohl (Adam) of Odenton, MD and Stefan Read of Minneapolis, MN; and his half-siblings, Roger Read, Linda Flicek (Mark), Nancy Clennon and Laurie Read. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Olaf Lutheran Church Revive Fund.
