She was predeceased by: her parents, George Nelson and Emma Nelson (Ones); her husband Kenneth Braaten; her daughter Jeanne; her son-in-law Duane Rennick; and her sister Evelyn.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bette Martin of Owatonna, Ellen Gerber (Tim) of Austin and Denise Meyer (Robert) of Maple Grove; her grandchildren, Brook Martin, Kent Rennick, Andrew Gerber, Seth Martin, Thomas Gerber, Joseph Gerber, Sara Lundequam and Sean Meyer; and her brother Eldon Nelson of Portage, Wisconsin. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
