With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice Retterath of Austin, Minnesota, who passed away on October 12, 2021 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Swank and Monica Swank; her brothers, David Swank and Gene Swank; and her grandson Jake Retterath.

She is survived by: her husband Jim Retterath; her sister Darlene Hardy; her sons, Jamie (Vicki), Scott (Susan), Marc (Barb) and Jesse; and her grandchildren, Adam (Rachel), Sam (Justine), Chad, Katie (Lucas), Nate, Allie, John, Bradley and Lucas. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

“I'm so very sorry for jannies death her mom and dad used to live right by me across the alley in NE it was a little pink house,she used to always be my babysitter when I was little and I still remember her so much, I will always remember her taking me to JC Penney's uptown and buying me a whole roll of suckers,I did get together with her and Pat Elit to eat out a few years ago and I'm so sorry I didn't keep in touch with her, I even babysat one of her sons.
