He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Johnson and Lillian Johnson (Pearson); his wife Maxine Lexen; and his sisters, Barbara, Betty and Elaine.

He is survived by: his children, Gerri Enright (Greg), Laura Wilde (Ann) and Greg Johnson; his grandchildren, Jason Kiefer (Stephanie), Mark Kiefer (Jana), Jonathon Enright (Laura Dack), Christina Enright (Ben Dulski), Heather Geerts (Shawn), Daniel Wilde (Andrea) and Brent Wilde (Megan); his sister Carolyn Zarn (Dennis) of Culpeper, VA; and his brother-in-law Galen McKenzie. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
