He is survived by: his wife Joan Freese of Austin, Minnesota; his daughters, Ann Freese of Austin and Lisa Hoesing (Brian) of Austin, Minnesota; his siblings, Herman Freese (Linda) of Grand Meadow, Minnesota and Theresa Coughlin (Barry) of Albert Lea, Minnesota; and his sister-in-law Lorraine Liefer (Harold). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
