It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gaylen Laverne Lastine of Austin, Minnesota, born in Rose Creek, Minnesota, who passed away on October 15, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Lastine and Rhoda Lastine (Anderson); his wife Phyllis Nagel; his son Tim; and his siblings, Wesley, Elmo Junior, Opal, Vivian, Arlene and Jurene.
He is survived by: his children, Bryce Lastine (Dolly) of Coon Rapids, MN, Cathy Johnson (Gary) of Albert Lea, MN and Scott Lastine (Jean) of Edina, MN. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to Alzheimer's Minnesota Society in memory of Phyllis.
