Francis Edward Gerlach Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Francis Edward Gerlach of Austin, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 25, 2025 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Francis Edward Gerlach to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Gerlach and Irene Gerlach (Ponto); his siblings, Robert Gerlach (Donna), Thomas Gerlach and Carolyn; and his sisters-in-law, Merrie Gerlach and Marie Gerlach.
He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, David Gerlach, Marianne Bremer, Lori Stadheim and Susan Bailey (Robert); his stepdaughters, Julie Fischer, Jeanne Fischer (David Hofland) and Jo Ellen Schmitt (Marvin); his siblings, Philip Gerlach, Carl Gerlach (Kathy), John Gerlach (Bonnie), Allan Gerlach (Carolyn), RoseMary Malicki (Ron) and Margene Culbert (Wallace); and his sister-in-law Joanne Gerlach. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Edward's Catholic Church (2000 W Oakland Ave, Austin, MN 55912). A Mass will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Mower County Historical Society, or St. Edward Catholic Church.
