He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Vermilyea and Celia Vermilyea; his wife Ann Vermilyea; his sons, Dean Vermilyea (Colleen) and Ronald Vermilyea; and his granddaughter Kim Vermilyea.
He is survived by: his former wife Ann Vogelsang; his children, Kenneth Vermilyea (Elaine) of Blooming Prairie, MN, Daniel Vermilyea (Joyce) of Austin, MN and Cathy Braaten (Dave) of Dexter, MN; his daughter-in-law Kaloha Vermilyea of Arkansas; and his siblings, Eris Bakker of Dexter, MN and Gene Vermilyea (Ruth) of Stewartville, MN.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson.
