He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Maxfield and Elsie Maxfield (Klingfus); his wife Mary Lou Maxfield; his granddaughter Emily Williams; and his great great grandchild Hadlee Jo Maxfield.
He is survived by: his children, Gus Maxfield (Ann) of Austin, Judy Williams (Gary Athey) of Elysian, Ann Schmid (Tony) of Warrens and Joel Maxfield (Janice) of Sparta, Wisconsin; and his grandchildren, Anita Deters (Heath), Robert Maxfield (Stephanie), Jessica Tabor (Gary), Ben Williams (Cassandra Clark), Jed Williams (Jolene), Christopher Schmid (Angie), Adam Schmid (June) and Andy Maxfield (Rachel Paddock). He is also survived by 24 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
