With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas Dean Peterson of Austin, Minnesota, born in Worthington, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 13, 2024 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orvin M. Peterson and Hilda M. Peterson (Meir); and his former wife Linda J. Young. He is survived by: his wife Donna J. Henamen; his children, Brett Peterson (Tina) of Lakeville, MN and Melissa McMillan (Michael) of Victoria, MN; and his grandchildren, Jordan, Evan Peterson, Audrey, Sam and Jack McMillan.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation and/or Bears that Care (A non-profit charity operated by volunteers from the Minnesota State Patrol).
