He is survived by: his wife Barbara Sprandel of Austin; his sons, Michael Sprandel (Ann) of River Falls and Patrick Sprandel of Austin; and his siblings, Patricia Noel of Cambridge, Janice Shuck of Albert Lea, Minnesota and Richard Sprandel of Walker, Minnesota. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
