He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin H. Ulland and Evelyn Ulland (Swenson); his siblings, LaVern Ulland, Ellsworth Ulland, Cleone Goodwin and Carol Cummings; and his siblings-in-law, Nathan Goodwin, John Cummings, Gerald Sievers, Merlin Beadle, Sydney DeBoer, Irene Ulland, Eileen Ulland and Maxine DeBoer.
He is survived by: his children, Sherri, Kent (Wendy), Scott (Ruth) and Melanie; his wife Marlys J. Ruud; his grandchildren, Matt (Lena), Katherine, Tyler (Julie) and Kyle; his stepgranddaughter Jamie; his great grandchildren, Maya, Mason, Adalyn, Ada and Kelvin; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Lydia, Jeremiah and Malachi; his sister Elaine Sievers; and his brother-in-law James C. Ruud (Julaine). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
