With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darrell Bloom of Austin, Minnesota, who passed away on December 4, 2020 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bloom and Rose Bloom (Buchan); his wife Karen Kittleson; and his siblings, Donald Bloom, James Bloom and Charlotte Wood.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathryn Dunn (Leonard) of Alta Vista, IA, Diane Thompson (Bruce) of Lake Mills, IA and Julie Rye (Dave) of Austin, MN; his sisters, Joan Hegge of Rose Creek and Patricia Miner of Spring Valley, Minnesota; and his siblings-in-law, Stan Kittleson (Judy) of Blue Grass, IA, Roger Kittleson (Julie) of Waterloo, IA and Maryann Kittleson of St. Ansgar, IA. He is also survived by foster children; eight grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home is limited to 57 people for the Visitation. Masks, social distancing, and all COVID-19 protocol will be enforced.
